Beech Traffic Survey and Camera Trial

Beech Traffic Survey and Camera Trial
12th – 22nd November
Hampshire County Council is conducting a traffic speed and volume
survey through Beech (Medstead Road and Kings Hill) from 12th to
22nd November 2021.
At the same time, Beech Parish Council is carrying out a trial of
Community AutoSpeedWatch cameras, which capture vehicle speeds
and registration numbers. In the recent village consultation there was
strong majority support for the use of these devices.

Please note:
1. There will be no speeding enforcement action against vehicles identified as exceeding the speed limit
solely by AutoSpeedWatch cameras during this trial. But the usual occasional police speed traps may
also be present in the village at this time.
2. The AutoSpeedWatch System is GDPR compliant and the data is tightly controlled. Beech Parish Council
will not identify vehicle owners, but the police may use the data to track stolen, wanted or unlicensed
vehicles.
