Technical Information About Accessibility
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The non-compliances and exemptions are listed below.
Non-Accessible Content
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of our website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
Non-Compliance with the Accessibility Regulations
- Some PDF documents published on this website may not be fully accessible. This may include older agendas, minutes, or reports that were not created with accessibility in mind. These do not fully meet WCAG 2.2 criteria 1.1.1 (non-text content), 1.3.1 (info and relationships), and 4.1.2 (name, role, value). We plan to address this by ensuring all new documents are created or converted to accessible formats. We aim to have older documents reviewed on an ongoing basis.
- Some images on the website may not have descriptive alternative text. This does not meet WCAG 2.2 criterion 1.1.1. We are reviewing all images and adding appropriate alt text as part of ongoing maintenance.
- Some page colour contrasts may not meet minimum contrast ratios required by WCAG 2.2 criterion 1.4.3. We are reviewing the site’s colour scheme and will implement improvements.
Disproportionate Burden
At this time, we have not identified any content where we are claiming a disproportionate burden exemption. If in future this applies, this statement will be updated.
Content Not Within Scope of the Legislation
The following content is not within scope of the accessibility regulations:
- Third-party content on the website that is not under our control, for example embedded maps or documents from external sources.
- Archived documents published before 23 September 2019, where they have been superseded by and are not needed to use the services we provide.
Preparation of This Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared in March 2026.
The website design included core functions to enable ease of accessibility. The Council continues to monitor the site and any feedback for improvement.
